10K later, here's mommy after the Bolder Boulder race. It was a lot of fun as usual. This year I ran with my next door neighbor Stacy. Since my usual partner is 8 months preggo. Happy Memorial Day!!
We went to the zoo and the daddy lion was practically laying against the glass. So we got a picture of the boys in the wagon getting a good look. We had lots of fun. We got to see the orangutans up close too.
A local church put on a kids carnival in our neighborhood this weekend. So we decided we'd meetup with some friends and take a look around. The kiddos weren't quite old enough to play most of the games, but it was fun anyways. Then Abuelita and Abuelito surprised us and showed up. We had lots of fun.
We took Luke's Mom out on Pearl Street yesterday for Mother's Day, and they had turned on this little water park. It's really a great idea. The water just pops up randomly and the kids love it. It took Ben a while to warm up to it, but I think he started to like it. The other pictures are of him playing on a giant snail and a giant beaver. To top of the day, he had a Cherry Garcia ice cream from Ben & Jerry's...yummy. He had a great day!!
Well, I forgot my camera for Easter, so I used my mom's and I just got the pictures last weekend. Sorry they're late. But I had to share them. Here is Ben on his first Easter Egg Hunt.
Well, our neighborhood pool doesn't open until Memorial Day and yesterday was like 86 degrees. I was at Target and I couldn't resist, I had to buy this little water park. It's really pretty fun. The water was kinda cold but he got used to it. He loves the slide. Now the only problem is where to store it...
So Brenda finally had her baby shower, so I can post pics of the diaper cake I made as her gift. I think I'm going to start selling them on craigslist. The sell ones without blankets and other items for about $60 and ones like these for about $150. This was about $70 worth of merchandise, so I'm thinking that's a pretty good profit. We'll see. It was such a hit at the shower. I do have to give Luke some credit as he helped me put it together.
Here's a picture of Ben sorting raisins into these storage containers. He got them out of the kitchen cupboards, so I thought, fine here's some raisins to put in there. I needed to make dinner so this occupied him for about 30 minutes. Until...Riley ate all the raisins.
We worked on our garden this weekend and Ben helped us. We made sure we picked up all the "land mines" so he could wander around the backyard. It was a gorgeous day.
I was giving Ben a bath and his hair was sticking up a bit and I caught him staring at his reflection on the silver thing at the front of the tub. So I made a mohawk and he started laughing hysterically, so of course I had to get the camera!!
Last Saturday it was raining and cold so we thought we'd go to the Children's Museum. Well, apparently it was on everyone else's agenda as well. There were way too many people there. But Ben had fun picking turnips from the garden, playing house, and playing with the gears too. It's a pretty cute place, we just picked a bad day to go.
Ben decided to let Riley clean his hands after his peanut butter and jelly sandwich today for lunch. He was laughing so hard! It was so darn cute. I had to take a picture.
Ben has cold and a cough so I'm trying to make sure he takes a lot of fluids in. I'm also trying to wean him off the bottle at the same time. So I gave him the choice of milk and juice from his sippy cups. Well he was watching a Baby Einstein video and decided to drink from one then the other and then the other. I thought it was hilarious. One sip of milk and then a sip of juice, and then some more milk etc...
