First Day at School

I took this picture on our way to drop Ben off at daycare. He slowly adjusting to the atmosphere of daycare. He's also getting his first cold from daycare. Bummer...

Baptism Brunch Afterwards

This is the cake I made for Ben's baptism. It was a lot of work, but after the second attempt, I think it turned out quite nicely. The Alessi kids had loads of fun playing with Ben. As a matter of fact, they took care of him during the entire reception while I enjoyed everyone's company.

Ben's Baptism

Sunday, September 24 Ben got baptized. Sandra is his godmother and Josh is his godfather. Since Josh lives in San Francisco, Paul stood as the godfather in proxy. We then came to our house for a brunch afterwards. It was a very blessed day.

Playing Under the Coffee Table

Ben loves to sit under the coffee table. I'm not sure why, but he does it all the time.

Playing with Uncle Josh

Josh came from San Francisco to visit for a week. Ben spent some good quality time playing with him. Josh will be his Godfather but won't be able to attend his baptism this weekend, so Uncle Paul will be standing in for him. Sandra is Ben's Godmother.

Golf Cake

For those of you that know me, you know that I love to bake. When I was younger I used to help my mom make our birthday cakes and I loved it. I decided to start baking birthday cakes again for people I know, instead of buying them cakes. I made this golf cake from scratch and everything is edible. It was for our neighbor Stacy's 30th birthday. It was so much fun.

I can stand up now!

Ben can pull up on the coffee table, sliding glass door, his toys, laundry basket... you name it. He loves it! Boy, do they grow so fast.

May our dearest Bubba rest in peace

Today, we had to send our dearest Bubba to doggie heaven. We didn't know it was going to happen until we went to the vet to ask for refill of her medicine and they found an abscessed tumor in her mouth that was causing a really bad infection. It was a really hard decision but we had to do what was best for her. We didn't want her to be in pain anymore. So now she is dog heaven with our dearest Kya.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.

Ben had a play date with Leaf who is two days apart and Logan who was born the same day.
They came over to our house for a couple of hours and played. It was fun to see them interact.
Leaf is in the first two pictures and Logan is in the other.
